Possibility of a new simple product - Alerts!

I am happy to announce the possibility of a new product - Alerts!

What can Alerts do for you and why should you consider?

Nowadays every I.T and non I.T companies need to have alerts when different components fail. We have different options based on the I.T department such as alerting via email, SMS, Phone calls, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord etc... This takes time to implement in applications. What if we want to escalate? i.e if a issue is not resolved within1 hour, we want to escalate, not resolved within 8 hours escalate more. All of these business rules can be developed as per the individual needs of applications and developers can do the implementation. What if there is one simple SDK that takes care of all of these and more? What if the business rules are just rules and don't have to be planned, what if the exact business rules are an after thought? What if you want to change your alerts from emails into a |Slack and that too at the click of a button? What if you want to route certain messages to certain communication channels based on content on message? What if you want to send email as well as some new communication tool like Slack / Discord / Teams based upon time of the day? 

What if the above mentioned capabilities can be provided for a very small fee and that too usage based fee? For example 0 incidents, 0 messages this month - no fee. 1 or 2 incidents and 10  -20 messages next month - small fee. Major disaster (no one wants) and several thousands of messages a slightly higher fee?

And you can save 100's or 1000's of developer hours.

And all of these with clear audit logs and customizable retention as per the needs of regulations and compliances in various industries?

Scam Alert: ALight Technology And Services Has No Clients Nor Any Investors Nor Any Other Employees

I think the psychopath terrorists - erra's, thota's, zinnabathuni's, uttam's, srinivas's, bandhavi, veera, sowmya might be upto some investor visa scam ($900,000). There is a very high probability that the entire scam is around the identity of the founder - Mr. Kanti Kalyan Arumilli. I am NOT involved, I did not apply for any investor visa. These people definitely did some scam, the possibilities of scam:

1) Illegal Immigration - stealing of H1B extensions and thereby GreenCard application

2) Black Money Laundering

3) TEA (investor visa) scam

4) Identity theft

I have sent emails to the appropriate authorities in United States, India and if TEA scam - possibility of identity theft claims from LifeLock. I have sent email to LifeLock. The founder of ALight Technology And Services Limited has ingested capital into the company but due the scam, human rights violation, harassment - no revenue was generated and there were no clients.

If you come across such propaganda, please DO NOT believe.

My personal achievements in the past 1 year

Here is a list of some smaller achievements I have accomplished over the past 1 year. Remember, these are achievements while being the target of anonymous state sponsored hacker group. Think of the hacker group as very well trained spies and who have access to very specialized advanced equipment and who have been given access to the equipment without any kind of audit or controls i.e no one overseas if the equipment is being misused or not. These bastards have caused a lot of physical health damage, mental health damage with the equipment, but they cannot stop me - determined person. I know, I am going to have long term health problems such as dementia, degraded mental performance, rheumatoid arthritis etc... And I have every right to call the rogues as "bastards".

1) I have developed and launched a small podcast search engine based on Solr known as PodDB - https://poddb.alightservices.com. I have used and implemented Solr, GRPC, Microservices which are some technologies I have not used before apart from SQL, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Javascript, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery - the technologies I am familiar with and even have certifications on some.

2) Implemented monitoring and alerting in AWS - i.e I get immediate alerts whenever someone logs in into my AWS account. Since implementation, the spy hackers were not able to login. They might have mis-used the secret spying invisible drones for screenshotting and creating false propaganda but they did not login. In other words - psychopaths hacking, money laundering of ransoms equipment.

3) Most startups, micro organizations and some small organizations do not have centralized logging or metrics / alerts in place. But, as a one person company (the founder and the only employee of my company) (fighting world-wide corruption of bastard and bitches identity theft - some slut su*ked dicks and stole my identity or my identity thief's wife sucked dic*s of law enforcement, media etc... for cover-up - funny thing she offered to s*ck my d*ck), I have implemented centralized logging and, metrics - observability stack.

4) I am certified in TOGAF both foundational and advanced

5) I have accomplished AWS Certified Architect Associate

Observability stack at ALight Technology And Services Limited

In the past I have mentioned about implementing observability stack at ALight Technology And Services Limited. I have not even started collecting application specific metrics but the observability stack (log monitoring along with metrics) has been very helpful in identifying some performance bottlenecks in one particular microservice. The microservice has been disabled on purpose and the reason why Trending page on PodDB does not get updated. In the past, while discussing and showing the architecture of PodDB, I have mentioned that the consumption and ingestion micro-services are different for scalability and performance reasons, so the ingestor has been disabled. I am not in any rush to fix any of this yet, because I am slightly busy with other things.

I have stopped using the ELK stack, due to reasons and started using GrayLog, Graphite and Grafana.

However, I wanted to encourage every software company to consider and implement observability stacks. I am more concerned about have the right tools, observability, monitoring and alerting in place before any commercial activities rather than being an after-thought. If you need any help in planning or designing your systems please do let me know, I would be willing to help. The monitoring stack has also helped me in right-sizing the hardware for the other servers. Let me put it this way, I am able to reduce my costs of previous hardware by 25 - 30% based on observations from the observability stack. Of course, implementing the observability stack on-premises did increase the expenses a bit, but definitely worth in the long term.

Kibana implementation completed, what's next?

Kibana implementation completed, what's next?

At this point I am happy to say, Kibana implementation and configuration is completed. I would say use Filebeats and Metricbeats or Elastic-Agents rather than LogStash. For some reason, LogStash has been a nightmare and became unresponsive few times causing several 5 - 10 minute unexpected downtimes.

I am planning to do few more things before I wrap up the observability, monitoring and alerting part. Moreover, I need to do implement some minor cost and performance optimization strategies. The next few weeks would be more around some custom C# development in AWS touching several topics such as CloudWatch, S3, ElasticSearch. I would either write some blog posts or do some live coding. I am currently implementing security at the web server level for internal projects using "auth_openidc" and Apache. This is of higher importance for me rather than trying to secure Pritunl. So, I have skipped the live coding session for now.
