1.5 – 2 years of WebVeta, despite R&AW spies harassment, privacy violation and hacking

 Introduction

I came up with the idea of WebVeta, an innovative search engine that would revolutionize the way people interact with websites in February 2023. In this blog post, I'll take you through my journey so far, from product planning to development, and share some of the interesting experiences I've had along the way.

The Concept

In February 2023, I started thinking about how internal search engines of websites could be improved upon. With a background in full-stack web development, I knew that I could leverage technology to create something truly unique. After months of researching and brainstorming, I came up with the idea for WebVeta: an easily embeddable search engine. And later with rise of LLMs, inspiration from Bing, Google, I have prioritized Generative A.I. Although, I did have plans of semantic search from the start. And the concept was accepted into Microsoft for Startup Founders.

Development

Over the next few months, I threw myself into developing WebVeta. From product planning to cloud architecture, application architecture, development, and even DevOps, I wore multiple hats to bring my vision to life. It wasn't always easy – there were countless late nights and early mornings spent debugging code, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting issues.

A Brief Detour: Cyber Security

Just when I thought things were starting to get back on track, disaster struck in October 2023. A targeted hack by a hate group R&AW spies left me no choice but to temporarily shift my focus to cybersecurity. To protect myself and WebVeta from further attacks, I implemented an enhanced version of OpenVPN with 8192-bit keys and disabled all ciphers less than 256-bit. This not only kept me safe but also gave me a valuable opportunity to learn more about the world of cybersecurity.

The Return: Back to Development

With my new cybersecurity skills under my belt, I returned to WebVeta development with renewed enthusiasm. I implemented additional features, including customizable RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and cached RAG prompts and responses using LLMs (Large Language Models). My goal is to make WebVeta a truly cutting-edge search engine that leverages AI in ways that others don't.

The Award and Recognition

Fast forward to today, and I'm proud to say that WebVeta has won the award for "Most Innovative AI-Based Search Engine 2024 - India" by Corporate Vision Magazine, UK.

Listing on Microsoft Azure Marketplace

I'm also thrilled to announce that WebVeta has been listed on Microsoft Azure Marketplace as a SaaS product. This marks an exciting milestone in my journey, opening up new opportunities for businesses to integrate WebVeta.

The Future Ahead

I remain committed to continuously improving WebVeta and making it more user-friendly and

feature-rich.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my learnings and experience with WebVeta has been nothing short of transformative. From concept to reality, I've learned invaluable lessons about perseverance, innovation, and the importance of cybersecurity.

Stay tuned for updates on our progress, and thank you for being part of this exciting journey!
