Roadmap for next few months!

Here is the roadmap for the next 3 - 6 months for ALight Technology And Services Limited.

1) Implement NIST Cyber Security Framework

2) Alpha / Beta of a new Product - Alerts!

3) Use Alerts for all the internal alerts of ALight Technology And Services Limited.

Alerts would be done in a semi-open-sourced approach i.e anyone who wants to implement a similar solution can implement by following the technical blog. For example, if I am writing code for Slack integration, I would write a blog post and provide the code, similarly for any other integrations. I am definitely open for consulting for Architecture, AWS Cloud Architecture, .Net based development.

The concept of Alerts:

One platform to manage alerts with different sets of business rules.

For example, let's say an application was built and sends email alerts. And what if you want to use WhatsApp / Telegram / SMS alerts? The code has to be re-developed, tested, deployed. What if there was a simple API for sending alert and the targets can be configured? What if multiple targets are supported? What if based on application, time of day, escalation rules different targets can be used? This is a very small niche, but a necessity for every software company. Big companies would probably have their own internal implementations of Alerting Microservices. Smaller startups and mid-sized companies can benefit by focusing on product features rather than worrying about alerting integrations.

Possibility of a new simple product - Alerts!

I am happy to announce the possibility of a new product - Alerts!

What can Alerts do for you and why should you consider?

Nowadays every I.T and non I.T companies need to have alerts when different components fail. We have different options based on the I.T department such as alerting via email, SMS, Phone calls, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord etc... This takes time to implement in applications. What if we want to escalate? i.e if a issue is not resolved within1 hour, we want to escalate, not resolved within 8 hours escalate more. All of these business rules can be developed as per the individual needs of applications and developers can do the implementation. What if there is one simple SDK that takes care of all of these and more? What if the business rules are just rules and don't have to be planned, what if the exact business rules are an after thought? What if you want to change your alerts from emails into a |Slack and that too at the click of a button? What if you want to route certain messages to certain communication channels based on content on message? What if you want to send email as well as some new communication tool like Slack / Discord / Teams based upon time of the day? 

What if the above mentioned capabilities can be provided for a very small fee and that too usage based fee? For example 0 incidents, 0 messages this month - no fee. 1 or 2 incidents and 10  -20 messages next month - small fee. Major disaster (no one wants) and several thousands of messages a slightly higher fee?

And you can save 100's or 1000's of developer hours.

And all of these with clear audit logs and customizable retention as per the needs of regulations and compliances in various industries?

Now what could go wrong?

1) Stolen integration keys, prankers can send false alarms for example stolen Slack key.

2) Data theft by the anonymous R&AW spies/ impersonators / identity thief hacker group in the so-called LINE group and whatever youtube channel apart from my own personal and company's official youtube channels. (Heard of them downloading my videos and uploading in theirs)
