May 10 2026 Update: Flexible DNS Options for VPN Profiles

 

Introducing enhanced DNS configuration options for ALightVPN’s OpenVPN profiles, including ALightVPNs DNS (no DNS leaks), outside DNS.

Today I have released an update to the ALightVPN profile generation system that provides users with greater control over DNS resolution.

ALight DNS: Provides DNS queries without exposing traffic to external resolvers.

Outside DNS: Uses 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 (Cloudflare and Google DNS).

The Windows desktop downloader (preferred way of downloading VPN profiles) application was updated.
